LynguaNova requests access to your device's microphone solely to enable speech-to-text functionality for language practice. Specifically:

• Voice input is processed in real-time by your browser's built-in Web Speech API
• Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers
• Microphone access is only active while you are actively using the voice input feature
• You can revoke microphone permission at any time through your browser or device settings

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We work with the following third-party services:

• Google - For authentication via Google Sign-In (name and email only)
• OpenAI - For AI-powered translations and conversations (text only, not stored by OpenAI per their API policy)
• Stripe - For secure payment processing (they receive billing information only)
• Base44 - Platform infrastructure and secure database hosting
• Browser APIs - Your device's native speech recognition and text-to-speech (processed locally, not transmitted to us)

Important: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Voice recordings are processed locally by your device and are not stored or transmitted to our servers.
